Maximum Resolution opened its doors seven years ago, with one goal in mind: to provide top-notch software testing services for a reasonable price. From websites for auction houses and national TV channels, to highly specialized software for medical devices, to technical editing of online and printed documents, our goal has always been to help our clients assure that the products they release to their users are of the highest possible quality.
Originally formed in New York with a core of highly experienced testers and editors, our team has grown to include resources spread across several states. In 2004, our main office relocated to a larger facility in Maine, where it continues to expand today.
After some time here in northern New England, we discovered a regional shortage of reasonably priced web development services. In an effort to better serve our local community, last year we began offering website development to small local businesses that otherwise might not be able to create a presence for themselves on the Web. These small and affordable sites are nonetheless tested to be of the same caliber as the largest of websites we’ve tested, capable of supporting millions of simultaneous users.
From the smallest to the largest, if you want your software application or website to be the very best it can be within your budget, Maximum Resolution can help.
Software quality assurance is not an option. Without application or website testing, any significant development effort is doomed to release a flawed product. But shifting schedules, tight budgets, and limited internal QA resources all work against software testing. It’s often the last thing for which there is time or money, and getting internal QA people when you need them can be a challenge.
Enter Maximum Resolution. It’s our goal to be the company you turn to when it’s the eleventh hour and you need testing Right Now, without breaking your budget.
Obviously, we recognize the enormous benefit of having QA involved in a project from the beginning. It makes everyone’s life easier and it saves money overall. We can handle the quality aspects of every step of development, from requirements gathering onward.
But the simple fact is that once you’ve gotten past requirements and mock-ups, you usually don’t have much material of substance for a quality assurance person to evaluate until the developers have produced pages or windows that are mostly functional. This forces most of the quality assurance effort toward the end of the project, when the schedule is often short to begin with and gets shorter because influences like scope creep make development take longer than expected.
If you can get internal QA resources every time you need them and they can accomplish everything in the tight timeframe at the end of each project, then you don’t need us. But if you sometimes hit a wall when QA isn’t available internally on your schedule and the release date is rapidly approaching, that’s when we can help most.
Maximum Resolution is a turn-key remote testing company. Give us access to your site or application, and with very little notice we can start testing it. We have a wide range of hardware and software standing by, and if you need something we don’t have, we will get it. We don’t require a slate of test cases to get started testing; just the minimum amount of documentation you feel is necessary. We will tap as many QA professionals as you need (all within the U.S.), when you need them, 24x7. When defects are found, we can report them using any tool you already have internally, or we can provide them in a document, spreadsheet, or other streamlined, easy-to-use format.
Whether it’s for five hours of testing or five thousand, our mandate is to provide all the QA resources you need, within the constraints of your schedule, not ours.
Everyone needs a website. From sellers on eBay, to non-profit groups, to contractors, everyone needs at least a page or two on the Web to tell the world what they do. Having a website is quickly becoming as essential as having a phone number. If potential clients are looking for you online and you’re not there, they will probably go with someone who is.
The problem, of course, is that creating a website seems costly and confusing. And, frankly, sometimes it is. But for a small organization, a website is an extremely inexpensive form of advertising for what you get and it isn’t difficult to create at all, if you can find someone to do it.
This is where Maximum Resolution can help. We are not looking to create the next Amazon or Google. We want to help small businesses, non-profits, and individuals get their message out on the Web for a reasonable price. You can see an example of our work at the website for the Waldo Theatre.
If you already have a website, but can’t maintain it yourself or are paying too much for someone else to maintain it, we can help with that too.
The exact cost depends on a variety of factors, such as how much information you need to share, whether the page(s) need interactive elements, how much material you already have ready in printed or electronic form, and where the site will reside on the Internet. Maximum Resolution employs consultants scattered from Virginia to Ohio to Maine. Each consultant has years of experience in his or her field of expertise, with a range of hardware and software on hand.
All of these consultants report through to our central office in rural Maine. Located on a nine-acre campus, our main office occupies a 10,000-square-foot building with plenty of room for expansion. All of our systems are protected by uninterruptible power supplies and a generator that can power the building for weeks without needing more fuel from off-site.
The reason for our organizational structure and concern with power protection should be obvious: to minimize any possibility that we will be unable to continue working for you when we have promised to do so. It’s our opinion that having everyone housed in one or two buildings represents an unacceptable level of risk. We take our commitment to your schedule seriously, and very few disasters could shut us down completely.
Moreover, by allowing our consultants the latitude to work from locations outside the main office, we further assure that we have the best people available to you when you need them, no matter what time of day it is.
Our contact us page is offline for some adjustments.
